Hi! It’s good to connect!

I work where education, Zen, and human thriving collide.
For more than twenty years, I’ve been a teacher, principal, district leader, executive, and founder—chasing better ways to teach, lead, and live. Today I lead The Conscious Schools Project, helping schools wake up to what really matters: growing people, not just managing systems.
While I do hold a Ph.D. in School Improvement from Texas State University, most of what I offer comes from fellow educators, stubborn questions, and the quiet, difficult practice of paying attention.
I am a dharma teacher a Appamada, a contemporary Zen center in my hometown of Austin, where I work with others to meet life as it actually is—unfinished, unpredictable, and full of gorgeous possibility.
